"The Act": enmeshed relationships, BPD and FOG
My thoughts on the enmeshed relationship between mother and child based on the TV show "The Act", how this relates to BPD and the grave consequences this has for the child growing up. FOG - Fear, Obligation and Guilt keeps children in enmeshed relationships from leaving an abusive and controlling parent(s) . I hope this video can provide some insight as to why your personality-disordered partner may struggle with leaving an enmeshed relationship.
